What’s New?
Spring 2010: Short Fuse teams up with Janice Cohen of Cohen Leadership Consulting to do a timely new workshop at the Institute for Civic Leadership titled “Storytelling – a Path to Hearts, Minds and Pocketbooks”

Has your Board experience flattened into a monthly round of financials, program reports and gearing up for the next fundraiser?  How can you re-ignite your Board membership and most effectively spread the vital message of your organization to potential funders and the larger community?  Storytelling- a Path to Hearts, Minds and Pocketbooks is a workshop for non-profit Board members who want to jumpstart  their effectiveness through the fun and engaging art of Storytelling.  Participants will leave the workshop searching for people to tell their story to!

As a result of this session, you will be able to:

  • Connect your organization’s mission your personal values
  • Identify specific attributes that enable the organization to consistently deliver high quality outcomes and resiliency
  • Understand the characteristics of successful storytelling
  • Tell  a compelling organization story that inspires others

Come to this workshop to gain confidence as a vital “voice” in your organization’s mission.  Enhance your comfort and ability in turning chance encounters into cash for your non-profit.  Participants will receive numerous practical handouts – and have a healthy dose of refreshing fun!

    • December 2009: Short Fuse Interactive will work with School Union 44 to bring reader’s theatre to Middle Schoolers!  They will create a presentation on a Dr. Suess book, write many of the parts themselves, and perform it for the 3rd graders.  Kym is very happy to collaborate with Sabattus Middle School math instructor Annie Cook for this project!
Autumn 2009: Short Fuse collaborates with Meg Christie of Portland Playback Theatre (www.portlandplayback.com) to bring storytelling to Portland’s PCI Physics for an all-day staff retreat.  This is a chance to celebrate the stories that have made this small business a very big success!

    And another thing……
